TOURS
Tours are a great way to experience our farm. In the winter, we offer private virtual tours. During the growing season, we offer public and private tours at our Navy Yard and Sunset Park farm. Tickets for public tours at our Brooklyn Navy Yard farm are sliding scale and public tours at our Monthly Sunday Open Houses in Sunset Park are free. Please register below!
Description: Come take a walk around our farm and learn about who we are, what we grow, why we grow it, and our vision for a greener future! Led by our knowledgeable and dynamic guides, our ticketed tours are offered once a month at our Sunset Park and every other Tuesday at the Navy Yard farm.
These tours are intended for individuals and groups of no more than four (4) persons; for larger groups, please book a private tour.
BROOKLYN NAVY YARD
Availability: May - October | Every other Tuesday at Brooklyn Navy Yard
Cost: Brooklyn Navy Yard public tours are offered on a Sliding Scale ($10-$18), children under 7 free.

Cost: FREE! These tours are totally free to the public!

PUBLIC TICKETED TOURS
Availability: May - October | Monday - Friday | Sunset Park and Brooklyn Navy Yard
Cost: $250 for groups up to 20. Groups larger than 20 people will be split into multiple tours.

Description: Guided tours are the best introduction to our vibrant rooftop farms. Amid soil, crops, and vistas, you’ll take a comprehensive stroll around the farm, exploring themes of the farm's genesis, sustainable farming methods, and daily operations. You’ll get an overview of our multi-channel business model, community programming, and fascinating environmental benefits of green roofing in the city. This tour is perfect for curious community members, tourists, college and graduate-level student groups, and/or enthusiastic green thumbs!

Youth programming at the farm is available through City Growers, a registered 501c3 non-profit dedicated to connecting urban communities with agriculture, food and environment through educational farm explorations. If you are seeking to bring a school or youth group to the farm, request a visit with their amazing team of educators!
NAVY YARD TOURS
Want to see more than just the Navy Yard farm? Visit Turnstile Tours to check out their guided explorations of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and beyond; their Urban Ecology Tour also includes a quick pop-in on the Navy Yard roof! Continuing education credits are available to architecture professionals for participation in the Urban Ecology Tour.
