FAVORITE GREEN SPACE IN NYC
PROUDEST MOMENT IN THE GARDEN
FAVORITE PLANT
Some of my favorite nature loving places in NYC are: My back Yard - Its a classic "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" kind of place. It is a reminder of the ultimate power of nature breaking through the concrete jungle and thriving. A weed becomes a giving-tree by hosting local animals like insects, squirrels and birds, and providing shade for over-heated Brooklyn-ites :) Fort Greene Park - a gallery of trees, flowers, animals and humans. Peaceful and beautiful. The Brooklyn Grange Navy Yard Farm - Its juxtaposition to the most industrially intense place and yet the most beautiful, nourishing, and awe inspiring. It never ever gets old. It is truly an urban phenomenon.
Nurturing a seedling to sprout from invisible to alive will forever be astonishing to me. It reminds me of the love in the ancient Human/ Earth interdependence.
Some of my favorite plants are: the spider plant, the star-gazer lily, and the Pine tree.
