FAVORITE GREEN SPACE IN NYC
PROUDEST MOMENT IN THE GARDEN
FAVORITE PLANT
I like to poke around All Faiths Cemetery in Queens, find quiet niches in Prospect Park, and scavenge at Dead Horse Bay.
Hmmm...life feels like a long series of proud green thumb moments. The more my journey into Clinical herbalism unfolds, the more proud and grateful I feel to be in proximity with plants and people. I love to connect people with plant medicine, which sometimes is in the form of pointing out a "weed" and talking about its medicinal attributes, historical uses, or how that plant fits into an ecosystem. What a world! Plants!
No favorites! Right now I'm spending time with St. Johns Wort/Hypericum Perforatum. A potent Liver herb, sun processor, and wound healer (both physical and emotional). I love to delve into how a plant got its common name, and this one is rich with narrative.
