LOWER MANHATTAN GREEN ROOF

This private residential roof in Lower Manhattan was transformed from a blank, underutilized space into a lush green roof garden and gathering space. The sloped green roof combines sedum vegetation and wildflowers, planted as plugs, offset by a beautiful meandering path composed of end-grain black locust blocks. Enhancing the space further, our partners at The Carpentry Shop Co. built and installed a custom black locust deck, containers, and privacy fence.
