EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Rack 'em up, line the tables, it's Brooklyn Grange's final Butcher Paper Dinner of 2018, RIBFEST!  Because we couldn’t get enough of ‘em, we've brought back our pals at Butcher Bar to show us a thing or two about ribs.

We're all about veggies on our farm, but when someone talks about BBQ so good you could call it "meat candy," we're hooked.  Matthew Katakis, Queens native and the man behind some of the best BBQ in town, knows how to serve up a meal that will leave your fingers sticky and your belly full. His restaurant, Butcher Bar is an old school Butcher Shop with modern day ideals & a BBQ Smoke House restaurant located right down the road in Astoria, Queens. He does barbecue right and we're jazzed to load our table with racks of ribs and southern sides, sip local brews and fine NY State wines, and soak up one final afternoon of family style feasting.

Forget the forks, clear your afternoon, and come fill your bellies and souls with good food and good company. Send off the 2018 season of Butcher Paper Dinners with us at RIBFEST!

SCHEDULE:
3pm - 4pm: Snacks, drinks, explore the farm
4pm: Dinner is served!

ABOUT BLUE POINT
Just one sip of Blue Point beer and you’ll find yourself at the boatyard hanging with friends, brewers, and a few seagulls. That’s because after years of brewing (but mostly drinking - don’t let our brewers tell you otherwise), Blue Point knows it takes a hometown brew to live up to New York standards.

ABOUT BOE
Brooklyn Oenology Winery (pron. ‘EN-ology’ or simply ‘BOE’), is a locally-focused winery based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, founded in 2006 by winemaker Alie Shaper. BOE extends the fundamental idea of terroir, which is essentially a combination of factors that create a wine’s sense of “place,” by incorporating the local agricultural, creative culinary, and art worlds.

In addition to sourcing New York grapes, BOE draws upon the Brooklyn and greater New York areas to create its identity. Each wine’s label showcases contemporary art by a Brooklyn artist and features a new piece of work for each vintage. They’re not just for viewing; they are double-layer, easy-to-peel stickers, so the customer can preserve the artwork. The tasting room also sells products from other artisanal New York state producers.

ABOUT WHISK ME AWAY CAKES
We're committed to using the global excitement around cakes, pastries, and traditional sweets to blur lines between cultures, races, and religions as we raise awareness around current issues.
