Sausage, Hoagies, and Peppers! OH MY! We’ve partnered up with some of our favorite folks to bring you guys a classy, yet messy, Butcher Paper Dinner first: Sausage and Peppers, our take on an Italian classic. Or is it Philly?
We grow about twelve different varieties of peppers for our hot sauce, so we figured it’s high time to let these babies out of the bottle and onto the table. Add mountains of spicy hot sausage, juicy tomatoes, soft rolls from a local bakery and you’ve got magic on the plate, well paper.
We’ll have great tunes spinning, beer and wine flowing and amazing desserts from Leopard and Pear. With our friends from the Meat Hook at the helm, it’s sure to be one heck of an afternoon, cause those guys know how to have fun.
ABOUT THE MEAT HOOK
We're a whole animal butcher shop located in Brooklyn, N.Y., specializing in local meat from small, family-run farms in New York state. All of our beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished and our pork and lamb is pasture-raised, the way it should be! Our meat travels directly from the farm to family-owned slaughterhouses to our shop with no middle man. Not only do we pride ourselves on having the highest quality local meat available, but also on delivering the highest level of customer service to our favorite people in the world: you, our customers.
Good food should be fun and we strive every day to create an environment where our customers enjoy being at The Meat Hook as much as we do.

BUTCHER PAPER DINNER
The Butcher Paper Dinners are a series of fun, sustainable and inventive dinner parties held June through September at our flagship rooftop in LIC, centered around the farm's massive, reclaimed white oak communal table down the length of which we roll butcher paper. We engage a rotating lineup of the city's most innovative chefs who bring their unique culinary stylings to play with fresh, seasonal produce, serving family-style, eat-with-your-hands meals directly atop the paper-lined table, all of which is composted onsite after the event. This style of hands-on dining allows guests to really engage with their food -- and their neighboring diners -- for a dinner event that's outside the box. You won’t find napkins or utensils at these dinners, rather we opt for a good old fashion hose down as we aim to create as little waste as possible.
ABOUT LEOPARD AND PEAR
Leopard and Pear is a collaboration of Erin and Eric- both celebrated chefs who earned their stripes in the pastry world. Together, they’ve teamed up to create a premiere dessert and pastry company offering unique, interactive and experiential tables. They also have an 18th century inspired tea cafe and garden opening in summer- The Awkward Scone- where house-blended herbal teas, fresh pastries, and sandwiches all dance with a subtle infusion of aromatic herbs and florals.
