This workshop is hosted by Brooklyn Grange's sister non-profit organization, City Growers. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased ahead of time here: http://cgworkshopseriesherbs.bpt.me/
Explore the holistic and homeopathic properties of herbs with City Growers educator Sarah Hurwitz.
While sharing a thoughtfully crafted herbal iced tea atop Brooklyn Grange’s breathtaking rooftop farm, Sarah will discuss how various herbs impact different body systems, take you on a farm tour pointing out the healing herbs grown right on the farm, and lead you in your very own herbal remedy creations.
Each participant will create their very own herbal tea blend to take home as well as another all natural body-care product. Everyone will leave with a deeper understanding of herbalism and holistic health.
About Sarah Hurwitz
Sarah Hurwitz is a Farm Educator with City Growers. She happily teaches (along with the whole CG team) thousands of NYC students each month all about where our food comes from, why it matters, and how they can positively impact our current food system. She comes to CG after spending two years in North Carolina working as an herbalist and farm manager. She believes that healing is a personal process that we must embrace. Herbs encourage us to be participants in our healing journey and she hopes to empower you on yours.
