Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop

85.00

Event Description
Macrame is a form of textile-making that uses knots rather than weaving to build decorative patterns. Believed to originate from 13th century,  Macrame was originally crafted by sailors as they traversed across the oceans for long lengths of time, using knots they were already familiar with to decorate anything from knife handles to parts of ships.

In this two hour, hands-on workshop, students will learn to tie the basic knots that will enable them to create a beautiful finished macrame plant hanger and begin their voyage into the endless combinations.

All materials will be provided including a small terra-cotta potted plant. An info packet is also provided to further the student's macrame adventure.
