Brooklyn Grange, Clinton Ave and Flushing Ave Brooklyn, NY 11205

Learn the tricks of the hot sauce trade from Brooklyn Grange's head farmer Ben Flanner!

Every year we churn out thousands of bottles of Brooklyn Grange hot sauce made from our farm fresh peppers. Now that we've got it down to a science, we're ready to simmer the knowledge down and share it with you!

In this workshop we'll start with a quick harvest of peppers and a few other ingredients, then move into production mode. You'll learn what goes into each batch, how to determine heat levels, and how to make a shelf-stable sauce with minimal processing required. We'll also talk about the differences between our tangy herb blend and classic red sauces, and how to consider the flavor profiles of your peppers when putting together your sauce.

For you heat enthusiasts and home gardeners out there, this a great way to get started making your own signature sauce!

PLEASE NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, Brooklyn Grange will not provide credit or refunds for tickets purchased on our website for a workshop, dining event, yoga class, or tour.  Events take place rain or shine. Please understand that buying a ticket to one of our events is no different from buying a concert ticket, theater ticket, or movie ticket. You are always welcome to gift your class to a friend if you cannot make it!
