BROOKLYN GRANGE TOUR REQUEST

Thanks for your interest in taking a tour of Brooklyn Grange! We are now closed for winter. Private tours are available by request Monday through Friday from April 15th through November 15th for groups of 2 to 25 people. Groups larger than 25 people will be split into multiple tours. We will begin booking 2018 private tours in March, 2018, so please read on for descriptions of our various private tour options and check back then to book your visit.

Standard Tours are lead by one of our dynamic, knowledgable staff members, offer a basic overview of Brooklyn Grange, and last about 60 minutes. This tour is perfect for curious community members, tourists, college and graduate level student groups, and/or enthusiastic green thumbs!
COST: $185
DURATION: 60 minutes

Founder's Tours are typically lead by Co-Founder, Vice President, and resident storyteller, Anastasia Cole Plakias, and offer an opportunity to hear firsthand how the farm came to be, what the greatest benefits and challenges are to farming on rooftops, and how a few young entrepreneurs managed to create a fiscally sustainable urban agriculture business in one of the most competitive cities in the world. These tours can be focused on a specific topic or topics by request, and will be tailored to the interests of your group based on who you are and the purpose of your visit. This tour is perfect for those with a keen curiosity about the business aspects of Brooklyn Grange and rooftop farming, or who want to hear a first person account of the farm's genesis and operations.
COST: $300
DURATION: 75 minutes

Technical Tours and Consultations are lead by President and Head Farmer, Ben Flanner; COO and Director of Design and Installation Services Gwen Schantz; Co-Founder and Vice President, Anastasia Plakias; Managing Partner and Apiary Director, Chase Emmons, or some combination of partners, depending on the scope of your inquiry. These sessions include a tour of the farm, as well as a sit-down meeting to discuss more technical aspects. Supporting documents will be provided as deemed necessary. These sessions are recommended for those who are planning an urban, rooftop, or other farm or garden venture, and are looking for advice on materials, design, installation processes, or specific operations.
