Born and raised in Montreal, Lauren lived in Vancouver and London before moving to New York in 2014. Professionally trained as a French Chef, she's worked in kitchens since she was 16, cooking everything from French to Chinese to sourdough bread. Spending so much time preparing fruit and vegetables, she developed a true respect for them and for the farmers who grow them, and eventually made the transition herself from cooking to growing. Since joining the Brooklyn Grange Design/Build team in early 2017 as Garden Manager, Lauren's love of flowers and plants has grown deeper, and she often finds herself amazed by the simple details of a petal or leaf. Lauren loves cycling from job to job, taking photos on her old film cameras, and petting every animal that crosses her path.
