More about Silver City Bound:

Silver City Bound is "Americana at its best” (Huffington Post). A unique collaboration between guitarist Justin Poindexter and accordionist/keyboardist Sam Reider, Silver City Bound is American roots music in motion. Their electrifying live show takes you on the journey of two exceptional young artists from different backgrounds, together “bound for alt-country glory” (Elmore Magazine): a magnetic southern storyteller, the son of a country singer, from the rolling hills of North Carolina; a San Francisco-raised, young jazz talent who fell in love with bluegrass and is reinventing American folk music on the accordion. With soulful harmonies, dazzling improvisation, and infectious grooves, Silver City Bound is music that moves your body and your soul.

In addition writing and performing their original music, Silver City Bound’s mission is to promote cross-cultural collaboration and dialogue through American roots music. In 2014 the band was chosen by the U.S. Department of State to tour China, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam as cultural ambassadors. In 2016 the band toured Azerbaijan and Turkey, performing for thousands of young people and collaborating on a benefit concert for refugees with an Istanbul-based band made up of Turks, Syrians, Kurds, Iraqis, and Americans.
