Is there anything more New York than sipping cold beers on a rooftop (farm) while watching a massive flock of trained pigeons take flight and illuminate the sky against the backdrop of the sun setting behind the Manhattan Skyline? We can’t think of anything!
On Saturday, May 7th, join Brooklyn Grange for a very special viewing on opening night of Creative Time’s Fly By Night, by artist Duke Riley.
We’ll be joining forces with BonBite Catering, to provide three food and beer pairings. No, squab is not on the menu!

ABOUT FLY BY NIGHT:
“At dusk, a massive flock of pigeons will elegantly twirl, swoop, and glide above the East River, as Riley orchestrates a series of performances occurring regularly throughout late spring. At the call of a whistle, thousands of birds will emerge from their home in a grand, converted historic boat docked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The pigeons will circle above the river as the sun sets over Manhattan, and small leg bands, historically used to carry messages, will be replaced with tiny LED lights, illuminating the sky in a transcendent union of public art and nature.”
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BROOKLYN NAVY YARD FARM. DETAILED DIRECTIONS CAN BE FOUND BY FOLLOWING THE LINK BELOW.
