UN Food Gardens

Manhattan

In 2015 Brooklyn Grange assisted in constructing and maintaining a staff-led community garden at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. The new vegetable garden was the brain child of a small group of UN staff from around the world who wanted to bring fresh food and farm education to the UN community. With the help of Brooklyn Grange and Green Thumb, the UN team has created a lush and productive community garden to be enjoyed by staff and visitors, and to educate UN visitors about community gardening and sustainable agriculture.
